01 โ About TrustCred
TrustCred is a digital credentialing platform operated by James Tozer , trading as TrustCred, a sole trader registered in England and Wales.
02 โ Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the TrustCred platform โ including the website, Partner Portal, verification pages, and API โ you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using TrustCred on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
03 โ Our services
TrustCred provides the following services to registered training providers (Partners):
- Generation of branded PDF certificates for learners
- Recording of credential data on the Polygon public blockchain
- Automated email delivery of certificates to learners
- A public verification page allowing employers to verify credentials
- A Partner Portal for uploading learner data and managing credentials
04 โ Partner responsibilities
As a TrustCred Partner you agree to:
- Only submit accurate and truthful learner data
- Only issue credentials for training that has genuinely been completed
- Obtain appropriate consent from learners for their data to be processed by TrustCred
- Keep your Partner Portal login credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Comply with all applicable laws including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Not use the platform for any fraudulent, unlawful or misleading purpose
โ You must not issue credentials for training that has not taken place. Fraudulent use of this platform may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
05 โ Blockchain & permanent records
๐ Credential data written to the Polygon blockchain is permanent and cannot be altered or deleted. This is a fundamental and intentional property of blockchain technology.
By using TrustCred you acknowledge and accept that:
- A cryptographic hash of each credential is permanently recorded on the public Polygon blockchain
- This record cannot be removed even if you cancel your account
- This permanent record is what makes TrustCred credentials tamper-proof and trustworthy
- Revocation is possible โ credentials can be marked as REVOKED โ but the original record remains on-chain
06 โ Pricing & payment
TrustCred operates on a subscription basis. Current pricing is available at trustcred.co.uk/pricing.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
- Prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to active partners
- No refunds are given for partial months
- Failure to pay may result in suspension of your account
07 โ Intellectual property
- TrustCred owns all intellectual property rights in the platform, including software, design, and branding
- Partners retain ownership of their own branding and content uploaded to the platform
- By uploading content (such as logos) you grant TrustCred a licence to use that content solely for the purpose of generating your branded certificates
- You may not copy, reverse-engineer or resell any part of the TrustCred platform without written permission
08 โ Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- TrustCred is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of credential data submitted by Partners
09 โ Termination
- Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days written notice
- We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for breach of these terms
- Upon termination, your access to the Partner Portal will be revoked
- Blockchain records will remain permanently โ this cannot be reversed
- You may request export of your credential data within 30 days of termination
10 โ Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11 โ Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify active partners of any significant changes by email with at least 14 days notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
